Weekend family events in the Triangle: Oct. 31 to Nov. 2

This weekend offers a variety of fun, fall-themed activities for families across the Triangle, with no spookiness involved. From pumpkin hunts to hayrides and live music, there’s something for all ages. Here is a list of events you can take the family to.

Raleigh Family Festival & Walk for Bleeding Disorders

Lake Crabtree County Park in Morrisville will host the Raleigh Family Festival & Walk for Bleeding Disorders on Saturday, Nov. 1, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event blends a charity walk with family-friendly games, music and food to benefit the Bleeding Disorders Foundation of North Carolina. Admission is $10 for adults to register for the walk and free for children.

Rolesville Fall FunFest

Just north of Raleigh, Rolesville’s Fall FunFest returns to Redford Place Park on Saturday, Nov. 1, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event brings together more than 100 local vendors, live music and food trucks for a full day of seasonal shopping and fun. Admission is free. 

North Carolina Whirligig Festival

In downtown Wilson, the North Carolina Whirligig Festival will run Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 1–2. The festival celebrates the state’s folk-art heritage with colorful kinetic sculptures, crafts, live entertainment and a large art market. Both days are free to attend.

City of Oaks Marathon

Downtown Raleigh will be bustling on Sunday, Nov. 2, as runners and spectators gather for the City of Oaks Marathon. The annual event features a full marathon, half marathon, 10K and 5K, along with live music and activities for families near the finish line. The race begins at 400 Glenwood Ave. Runners must register and pay applicable fees. Spectators can attend for free. 

Fall Festival at North Hills

Raleigh’s popular North Hills district hosts its Fall Festival on Saturday, Nov. 1, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will be held at 4011 Cardinal at North Hills St., Midtown Pa. Visitors can enjoy food vendors, live performances and children’s activities in an open-air setting perfect for a fall afternoon. Admission is free.

Trunk or Treat Harvest Fest

Aversboro Road Baptist Church, located at 1600 Aversboro Road, Garner, NC, is hosting its Trunk or Treat Harvest Fest on Friday, Oct. 31, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m. There will be decorated trunks, carnival-style games, inflatables, free concessions, live entertainment and more for families. Admission is free. 

Harvest Festival & Trunk or Treat

Baptist Grove Church is having its Harvest Festival & Trunk or Treat on Friday, Oct. 31, from 6 to 8 p.m. The church is located at 7109 Leesville Rd, Raleigh, NC. The event will have a range of food, games and a cartoon-theme for its trunk or treat. Admission is nonperishable canned goods to support the Life Harvest Food Pantry.
